Q: How many characters can an Alphanumeric address be? A: SOPRANO MEMS accepts alphanumeric addresses of 15 characters, however the network (SMSC) will reject this. The network restriction is limited to 11 characters.
Q: Can the Alphanumeric address include ASCII characters and Numbers? A: The Alphanumeric Address must be in ASCII.
Q: Can the Alphanumeric address include be Arabic of Chinese Characters? A: These are not currently supported by most Operators SMSC's. Standard Response provided is: "ErrorCode = 11", "INVALID_SOURCE_ADDRESS".
Q: Can the Alphanumeric Address contain all numbers? A: Within some networks, there must be at least 1 character for the alphabet.
Q: Is the Alphanumeric Address compatible with all handsets? A: Generally this is the case. It should be noted that some operators do not support termination of Alpha addresses and may append additional digits to it.

SOPRANO MEMS supports multiple hierarchies within a single customer.
Within the SOPRANO Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite environment, SOPRANO MEMS is considered the Platform and has Platform Administration rights governing the individual customers and their unique profiles, including addresses, routing etc.
Users, as well as "Sub-Customers" or branches, can also be added within a Customer to provide partitioning within an organisation. |
