LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in is a user management system that has capability to interact with SOPRANO MEMS Address Book and its mappings, allowing system to synchronise automatically.

 

The communication of plugin with SOPRANO Mobile Enterprise Messaging Suite is based on LDAP protocol. LDAP or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is a protocol that supports interaction of a company with its directory. It is primarily used for querying, modifying, authenticating and syncing items in any directory service.

 

In the below diagram, we have depicted interaction between GAMMA user management system with customer directory via LDAP protocol.

 

 

 

 

 

SOPRANO MEMS will organise a master Address Book structuring the Users, Contacts, Groups, and Lists in a hierarchical model. It will interact with customer’s directory to determine creation, modification and deletion of new entries through LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in.

 

Once integrated, database sync would be executed automatically as per defined intervals by admins eradicating manual efforts.

 

LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in offers automated sync and reporting mechanism reducing manual efforts and providing scalable solution for large enterprises. Below are the benefits of using SOPRANO LDAP (Active Directory) Plug-in:
