SPF records to prevent Spoofing

When using Emailer Users must add an SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record to prevent email spoofing, it prevents spammers from pretending to send emails that appear to come from your domain.

Adding an SPF record to your domain host will help recipients know where the emails have come from, providing reassurance that they aren't being spoofed. This is important to ensure email deliver-ability.

Add an SPF record to your domain host

In order to secure MEMS Email, update User's DNS records and add an SPF TXT record that lists the mail servers that can send email from User domain, mimicking the scenario as if the message is sent from a server that is not in User's SPF record. The recipient's server may consider this as spam and the email will end up in the recipient's spam folder.

Users need to add the following SPF record:

v=spf1 ip4:<IP Address 1> ip4:<IP Address 2> ip4:<IP Address 3> ip4:<IP Address 4> ip4:<IP Address 5> ip4:<IP Address 6> etc.

User's new SPF record update normally takes effect within 48 hours.

The <IP Address 1> in bold italic are placeholders for MEMS specific IP address as each MEMS domain will have its own set of IP addresses to be added to the SPF record.

     Users are to get in touch with the Customer Support Team for their specific IP values.
